ChapTec offers a ready-to-use histological fixative: 10% NEUTRAL BUFFERED FORMALIN, packaged in containers with an innovative technology that prevents any contact between the operator and formalin (liquid or vapor) during sampling.

What is SecurBiop®?

SecurBiop® is an exclusive and patented technology based on a special system consisting of:

• A 120 ml empty sampling container with a perforator.
• A prefilled container with 60 ml of 10% NEUTRAL BUFFERED FORMALIN, sealed with a resistant membrane.
• The fixative is only released into the sampling container once it is fully sealed, exposing the specimen to the fixative without any risk of inhalation or release of toxic vapors into the environment.

How to Use

• Open the container and remove the safety ring.
• Insert the specimen into the empty cup: there will be no direct or indirect (vapor) contact with formaldehyde.
• Insert the perforator and close the container: the membrane will automatically break, releasing the fixative into the cup, the specimen can be fixed now. The O-ring ensures a perfect seal, preventing any leakage of liquid or vapor from the container.
