FOR MICROSCOPY
The May-Grünwald stain modified (pH 6.8) is principally used in hematological diagnostics. Like the eosin-methylene blue solutions of Wright and Leishman, this ready-to-use solution is employed to stain blood and bone marrow smears, as well as clinical cytological samples.
It is often combined with the Giemsa stain.
