HYDROPHOBIC PENCIL TO RETAIN LIQUIDS
- A-PAP Pen is an essential tool for immunohistochemistry.
- During IHC staining, a water-repellent circle retains liquids, reduces the amount of antibodies and reagents used.
- Heat resistant up to 120°C.
- It is water repellent and the circles made easily dissolve in xylene.
- Contains no bromopropane and complies with REACH regulations.
- Pen tip thickness is 2mm.
- The volume of liquid is 2.5 ml which allows about 500 uses.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- During first use, press the tip of the pen when it points upwards to purge air.
- Gently shake the pen and press it down and the liquid will come out .
- The first time, the liquid will take some time to penetrate the tip of the stylus.
- Be careful not to drip too much liquid.
- If too much liquid comes out, press it against absorbent paper and wipe off excess ink.
- Make sure to close the cap after use.
RECOMMENDATION:
- Allow the ink to dry completely before coloring. If too much liquid comes out, wipe it off.
- If surfactant remains on the blade after immersion in PBS for example, it will not work.
- Wipe or soak the blade in a pad without surfactant.
