Eosin Y, Alcoholic solution is a ready-to-use counterstain used specially in histology and cytology for routine H&E staining. When used correctly, it provides different shades of pink to facilitate visualization of tissue components, erythrocytes, collagen and cytoplasm of muscle or epithelial cells will be stained with different shades of pink, red and orange.
Typical staining times are 30 to 90 seconds.
